I am a personal proponent of "real" Christmas Trees. They are renewable, recyclable and more beautiful and traditional than any manufactured tree. As a child, I have some great memories of going to Christmas tree farms to find and cut down our tree. Last year, and hopefully this year as well, my kids will get to go to a Christmas tree farm too.
Here is a couple links to help with finding a Christmas tree farm near you:
National Christmas Tree Association
PickYourOwnChristmasTree.org
You may have just picked up your real tree at Home Depot this year. That's fine! Just make sure that you recycle it. The trees are mulched up and reused by most local governments. There is a list of locations in the greater Nashville area to recycle your trees on my blog, aGreenerView.com .
Also, Williamson County Residents may find this 2007 recycle sheet from our county government helpful and informative.
